How it started:
In 2002, as part of a Masters Program in Spiritual Psychology in Los Angeles, Janaka met Emmy Award winning composer Mark Heyes, who offered his help recording Janakas music and soon they started recording in Mark’s Malibu Lake studio.  This was the start of a 3 year project on 2 continents! Later Janaka moved to the area of Hamburg, Germany, where he continued work on his CD with renowned guitarist from Denmark, Nils Tuxen, and with other accomplished musicians from India, such as Tanmoy Bose, world class tabla player regularly on Tour with Ravi and Anoushka Shankar; and Dipak Sarma, master student of India’s greatest Bhansuri flute player, Hariprasad Chaurasia. In the summer of 2005, his first album of the series of three, “Jai Yogananda”, was released and will be followed by “Oriental Christ” (October 2005) and Gopala Krishna” (Spring 2006)
